Javier Piñón is a graduate of San Diego State University, where he received a BA in Music Recording Technology and Audio Design. He is the CEO and Co-Founder of Calibrated Productions.
He has experience in the music industry, from music production and performance to recording and post-production.
Having experience in several genres of music recording, Javier's field of expertise is music recording and mixing. Some notable projects are the Logan Lone Piano Series and recordings for the SDSU Wind Symphony.
He has experience working in San Diego theater, both live and virtual. He has worked a number of shows at the SDSU School of TFM, Coronado Playhouse, and OnStage Playhouse. His experience involves sound design, sound mixing, and live sound reinforcement.
Javier's debut album, Masquerade, kicked off his career as an independent artist. He also works through Calibrated Productions to produce other artists' albums.
Javier is the bassist for the San Diego swing/rock band Delivery.
Javier is the co-founder and co-president of Calibrated Productions, a record label dedicated to helping minority artists reach their creative potential.
Directed by Jesca Prudencio, this physical theatre performance captures the fears and anxieties of the COVID-19 shutdown, as well as the rush of mixed emotions that come as restrictions began to be lifted. Javier Piñón was responsible for the audio recording and mixing, as well as the capturing and editing of video footage.
